Guatemala Housing Alliance collaborated on their first natural house with Return to the Forest. It took us six weeks to build a bamboo and bajareque structure to replace the existing fragile bajareque house. Mother and daughter, both called Concepción, were able to move into their new home on Christmas Eve, 2015.
Morgane, our intern, captured the story on her recorder. Immerse yourself for six minutes on our jobsite and understand the challenge of building naturally in a Mayan village.
